Volunteering

Volunteers play an extremely important role in our ability to provide the wide range of services, programs and activities at The Community Place. The Community Place would love to hear from community members with a keen interest in volunteering.  Some of the volunteering opportunities include the following roles, tasks and duties:

  • English as a Second Language Program [ ESL] Volunteer Teachers [TESOL] and Volunteer Tutors.
  • Cleaning and General Maintenance
  • Gardening Work
  • Help with groups – Playgroup, Sewing Group
  • No Interest Loan Program
  • Community Pantry
  • Special Events and Activities – for example volunteers for Queensland Week Community Day, Mother’s Day Family Picnic

If you have a special skill or talent you would like to share, we would love to hear from you.

Please be advised that “most” of our volunteers are required to hold a current Blue Card.
