Becoming a Member
Becoming a member of The Community Place is a great way to get involved and support the organisation. Membership allows you to keep up to date on what is happening at the Centre, hear about volunteer and employment opportunities and learn more about the ongoing work of the organisation. Membership of The Community Place Inc is open to all members of the community who support the objectives of the Association.
Objectives
To contribute to the relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress and other misfortune.
To promote, establish, carry out and support (and to assist in the same) any social welfare program designed to contribute to the relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress and other misfortune including those undertaken by statutory authorities, voluntary welfare organisations and other community groups.
To support and promote the wellbeing of individuals, families and groups within the local community who are disadvantaged either financially, socially, physically, intellectually or emotionally.
to be a community centre whose services are available, without discrimination, to all members of the community.
Membership Cost
$5 per year per individual
Rules of The Community Place
As an Incorporated Association, The Community Place operates within a Constitution and within all of the rules determined by the Office of Fair Trading.
