The Community Place is an incorporated community organisation based in the Inner Northern Communities of Brisbane. We began our work within the community over 30 years over, when in 1983 we were the first community centre to receive funding from the then Queensland Department of Family Services.
We are managed by a Management Committee who oversees the governance of The Community Place. We have a small number of staff who are dedicated to developing and providing all of the wonderful programs available at both of our Community Centres.
We operate out of two spaces located in the Wooloowin and Stafford Communities.
As a community service we have no religious or political affiliations, and we embrace and encourage participation by all members of the community at The Community Place.
